Legal security in family relationships
In divorce proceedings the real issue is often not the divorce itself, but custody, child maintenance, spousal maintenance and the liquidation of the regime of participation in acquired property. Where these items are not properly structured, a marriage that has ended becomes the source of new proceedings lasting for years.
Careful drafting of the protocol in an uncontested divorce is the most effective means of protecting the parties from contentious proceedings lasting many years. In every file where it is possible, our office considers this route first.
Personal rights and digital reputation
Name, reputation, privacy of private life and personal data all fall within the protective scope of personal rights. Requests for blocking access to and removal of unlawful content on the internet are subject to a special, fast-moving procedure; here even hours can make a difference.
In addition, procedures such as drawing up a will, disclaiming an inheritance, abatement and division of an estate involve rights subject to time limits. The three-month period prescribed for disclaiming an inheritance is the deadline most often missed in this field.

Frequently asked questions
For a foreign court judgment to take effect in Türkiye, a recognition or enforcement action must be brought. Otherwise you will continue to appear as married in your civil registry records. In certain circumstances there is also an administrative registration route operating through consulates and the civil registry directorate.
For statutory heirs the period is three months from the date on which they learn of the deceased's death and of their status as heirs. An inheritance not disclaimed within time is deemed accepted together with its debts. In files where the estate is insolvent, keeping track of this period is vital.
